Kayle Abas is an aspiring author, seeking to publish her debut series through Kindle Direct Publishing. During the day she works as a technician for a school district, at night she lets her imagination run wild, bringing life to the world that she’s been meticulously crafting.
Kayle was born and raised in California for 18 years, before moving around the states. She ‘s disabled and has been learning to live life with a chronic illness. Due to her medical issues, she’s struggled with finding her role in the world, bouncing between careers, dreaming of a time when she could create something, before realizing her answer was staring her in the face!
She made a promise to herself to stop letting perfect be the enemy of good, and committed to writing her story. With that goal in mind, and the hope that she will impact at least one life through her work, she began to write.

“My biggest sources of inspiration for The Heretical Histories would have to be Brandon Sanderson, Adrian Tchaikovsky, and Will Wight. These authors have crafted stories that left a mark on me and fundamentally changed me after reading them.
I fell in love with Sanderson's world building, he showed how effective a cohesive system is. Tchaikovsky showed me how beautiful an alien mind can be, and how so often the horror stems from simply being human. Wight showed me how you can stay grounded with the human element, even when the stakes are beyond them.
The Heretical Histories series is my love letter to the fantasy genre, as it is a distillation of all the wonder and amazement I have experienced over the years. I hope it fills you with a fraction of the awe I’ve experienced in my reading.”
